Gas Last Resort Rate

The Last Resort Rate (LRR) is a rate regulated by the Government that can be contracted if your annual consumption is less than or equal to 50,000 kWh/year and your supply is low pressure. Most residential consumers meet these requirements.

Royal Decree-Law 4/2024, of 26 June, extends the application of the LRR for gas to Property Owners' Associations. See more details here.

In order to contract the LRR, you can choose between the different Last Resort Retailers authorised to do so:

There are three Last Resort Rates, with different prices depending on your annual consumption:

  • LRR.1:

    For consumption less than or equal to
    5,000 kWh a year

    Hot water
  • LRR.2:

    For low consumption between
    5,000 and 15,000 kWh a year

    Hot water + heating
  • LRR.3:

    For low consumption between
    15,000 and 50,000 kWh a year

    High consumption homes
    or small businesses
